About James

Having grown up into a family marine business, James has spent his entire life surrounded by boats. He has experienced much of the industry including working in the shipyard, undertaking bespoke engineering projects and then for the past 17 years focussing on a sales role.

His dream of joining the Sunseeker team was finally realised in 2012 when he took on the newly opened Sunseeker Southampton office based at Swanwick Marina on the picturesque Hamble River. Since then the office has expanded year on year to become one of our most successful in the group.

James has a wealth of experience in International brokerage transactions, with many sales into Denmark, Norway, Mallorca, France, Portugal, Nigeria and America, to name but a few.

More recently James has also taken on the role of overseeing our new territories in the Adriatic Sea – Croatia and Montenegro. These exciting new destinations are already baring fruits for the Sunseeker London Group with their stunning coastlines and wealth of boating destinations.

"It is often said that we sell dreams not just boats and I wholeheartedly believe this. "

More about James...

James is the current Vice-Chairman of ABYA, a professional association of Yacht Brokers who seek to promote a reputation of excellence in Yacht Brokerage.

James has a real passion for high performance (hence his love of Sunseeker!) and spends most of his spare time either building and racing off-road Ultra 4 racing trucks or out on the water in his go-fast catamaran.

A keen game shot during the winter season, he loves working his English Pointer and enjoying the countryside.

"I still remember the first boat I sold at the age of 11. It was salvaged from the bottom of the River Thames and I enjoyed seeing it being used for many summers after by a family and their children, who were my age at the time. "
